Are you ready to enroll in our courses?

If you are interested in any of the opportunities presented by this emerging new industry you will find our list of seminars informative and helpful.

Objective: To provide our students with the most comprehensive information available on the subject of the medicinal cannabis industry; to apprise them of all of the legal ramifications and introduce them to the rapidly emerging medical cannabis industry. Pharmacology University seminars offer an outstanding curriculum designed for people working in the industry or potential patients wanting to be well informed on the subject. The seminars are the quintessential precursor to those either wanting to start their own business or work within the industry or patients in need of information about medical cannabis.

In a memorandum to the justice department dated October 19th, 2009, President Obama left it up to the individual states to determine their own cannabis policies, however, the federal law was not changed and in the eyes of the federal government, cannabis continues to be a schedule 1 drug. Nevertheless, the memorandum provided clarification and guidance to federal prosecutors in those states that already had enacted laws authorizing the use of medicinal cannabis. Federal prosecutors were informed that patients and their sanctioned suppliers should not be targeted for federal prosecution in those states that allow medical cannabis.

In June of 2009, the government moved forward on another front by introducing the Personal Use of Cannabis by Responsible Adults Act into the House of Representatives sponsored by Barney Frank (D-Mass) and co-sponsored by Ron Paul (R-Texas) as well as three other congressmen. This would effectively leave the legality of cannabis possession in the hands of each individual state.

In June of 2015, Governor Abbott signed the Texas Compassionate Use Act (SB 339), legalizing low-THC cannabis oils as a treatment for certain medical conditions. Senate Bill 339 requires the Texas Department of Public Safety to license AT LEAST three dispensing organizations by Sept. 1, 2017, provided that at least that many applicants have met the state’s requirements.

On the crest of the wave of this positive shift, Pharmacology University is the proud author of a dynamic and informative series of informational and educational medical cannabis seminars in the state of Texas. Our enlightening two-day seminars are set up to prepare you to be a part of this idea whose time has come. You have the opportunity to possibly be in the cutting edge of a major transition that could result in the creation of jobs, careers, and revenue as well as providing those in need with the pain relief they deserve.

Pharmacology University provides a long-overdue shift in the paradigm. It is the vision of things to come in the world of law and medicine. Our seminars are designed to give you the knowledge you will need if and when the legal transitions take place in Texas.
